Shopping long ago broke away from the necessity of merely making a purchase, more accurately it has turned into an important leisure time experience which has a recreational element. Intersport Bründl is setting new standards with its innovative concept.

The Bründl group has been pivotal in defining the specialist sports trade in the last 50 years, and has been setting trends and standards in lots of areas. It has only been in the last 15 years that decisive steps have been made toward a new culture of shopping, and to a service network. In 2008 the main shop in Kaprun was redesigned. ‘We have the courage to break new ground, where others won’t tread, and want to implement innovative and zany projects ...’ explains Christoph Bründl, Managing Director of the Bründl group.

Similarly, is it not the ‘zany’ and ‘ingenious’ businesses who take chances again and again, provide the impetus and, as is often quoted, think outside the box? As well as all the innovative influence of such a project, there were also other factors which prompted Christoph Bründl, along with his father KR Hans Bründl and his team, to come to this decision: ‘We were able to make a very positive development, for which we have to thank our customers in the first instance. Our sales area had become too small, so we doubled it to 1600 m². We were also noticing that our customers like to stay in the shop and enjoy their time spent in our shops. We wanted to really take up on this. Our customers should forget about time, relax, be received in a warm and friendly manner, feel enthusiasm, relax at our ‘Sinnbar’, or visit the 3D cinema and while we're on the subject, find perfect offers and service.’
