The Radical Down Jacket is a classic in Dynafit’s Ski Touring collection and should not be lacking in any wardrobe. Down is well-known for its excellent ability to insulate at a very low weight and small packsize. The only weakness of down is and remains its sensitivity to moisture. When down comes in contact with moisture, it loses its loft and thus loses its ability to insulate. Precisely for these reasons, a premium RDS-certified (“Responsible Down Standard”) goose down treated with DOWNTEK® was selected for this jacket. The water-resistant DOWNTEK® treatment allows down to maintain its density and loft even when exposed to moisture and thus it continues to keep you warm. Not only that, the down dries more quickly and is machine washable without losing its properties. For additional weather protection, the lightweight nylon outer shell is wind- and water-resistant. Stretch underarm side panels ensure improved breathability, temperature regulation, and freedom of movement. At the lower hem and cuffs of the jacket, an elastic band keeps the jacket in its place, ensuring now cold air gets in. Both front pockets and a chest pocket offer room to stash small essentials and keep your hands warm at the summit. With its small packsize, this jacket fits into every ski touring pack. With an athletic cut, it also looks great not only on ski tours, but also when worn for mountaineering, heading to or from work, or on strolls around town.
