BIKING AROUND ZELLER SEE AND ON THE SCHMITTEN
GET IT INTO GEAR IN PINZGAU
Zell am See and Kaprun deliver countless options to bikers wanting to explore the Alpine countryside on two wheels. A laid-back ride around the lake, virtually endless paved routes and challenging mountain climbs await just around practically every corner.
Virtually countless mountain peaks rise skywards in the Zell am See-Kaprun Region. The landscapes are a natural paradise for mountain bikers, freeriders, downhillers et al. Meanwhile, the infrastructure has also been adapted to the needs of two-wheelers. For example, on the Kitzsteinhorn you will discover three brand-new downhill trails. But also the Maiskogel and Hundstein feature interesting tours – especially for mountain biking all-rounders – tours that demand stamina and good climbing abilities.
If you prefer something more relaxing or if road biking is more your thing, the Tauernradweg greets you with perfect daily stages through Oberpinzgau.
