Mountain bike trips for beginners

To begin, we recommend mountain bike trails that take you mainly along forest roads. In those first few days, it is important for you to develop a feel for the gradients and balance. It is rare on these routes to encounter single track passages.

That said, they are a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the view of the Tyrolean and Swiss mountains. These beginners' tours will take you by mountain bike to destinations including Galtür as well as the Kops reservoir.

Enduro tours and single-track trails

If you are looking for greater challenges, you should try your hand at the enduro tours in the Silvretta Arena. Here you will also find plenty of single-track trails that require skill and ability. You shouldn't hold back from some of those daring downhills either.

The enduro tours include, as an example, the Smuggler Tour, letting you explore the Swiss side of the Silvretta Arena. Or how about taking on a 1500 m gain to the top of the Alptrida!

Of course, you will need a mountain bike that's matched to the type of trip you are planning. Our experts at the Bründl bike rental centres are always happy to assist.

From shop to nature

The nature that surrounds both cycling regions, Kaprun and Ischgl, is especially rewarding for bikers. Aside from the countless lakes, mountains and alpine nature, unique routes and special challenges are a real attraction in their own right. Rides up beyond the 3,000-metre mark are just as possible as endurance rides along historic single-track trails in Tyrol.

Even if the idea of cycling is always the same, hardly any sort of exercise speaks to so many different people. Families take a trip round the lake together in the afternoon while adrenaline junkies spend the whole day hurtling down narrow winding trails.

At Bründl Sports shops, your ambitions come alive.
