Unforgotten – Memories from those who walked alongside them

I spent my entire professional life – 47 years – at Bründl Sports and always considered it a part of who I am. From 1986 onwards, I was a member of the management team. The clear and consistent handover to Christoph Bründl was particularly defining for me – a level of trust I have rarely experienced in this form. I have especially fond memories of our annual trips to international ski resorts, which provided not only inspiration but also valuable opportunities for exchange. I wish the entire team continued success and joy on the journey ahead.

Looking back, my entire journey at Bründl has been one long Magic Moment, because this is where my personal career aspiration became a reality. From a young age, I wanted to become an educator. After taking time out to raise my family, I was finally given the opportunity to join Bründl Sports. The rest is history. I became deeply involved in adult development, helped build the Academy and had the privilege of supporting people as they grew. I am grateful for this and proud to have been part of such an inspiring company.

In 2008, Bernhard Bründl asked me if I would support him in developing the company’s managers. That was my first Magic Moment. Built on a strong foundation of trust, I have since had the privilege of supporting more than 100 leaders within this “wondercredible” company and sharing many truly moving moments along the way. This has led to deep and meaningful relationships with remarkable people.

Thanks to a clear sense of purpose and strong family leadership, the values and distinctive Bründl DNA have always remained consistent: reliability, trust, team spirit and genuine humanity. People are clearly at the heart of everything here. Bründl has helped shape my professional journey – both as an employee and an industry partner. Together, we create and go the extra mile, guided by shared values, vision, courage and honesty. Thank you to Hans, Christoph, Maximilian, Paula and all 550 employees!

Ever since I was a child, we have bought all our ski equipment at the Flagshipstore. What has always impressed me is the tremendous skiing expertise, personal advice, passion for service and warm, almost family-like atmosphere. Later, when I was a young World Cup athlete looking for a sponsor, Christoph Bründl and Thomas Vorreiter welcomed me with open ears and placed great trust in me from the very beginning. Since 2016, I have been proud to have Bründl as a strong partner by my side. In both good and difficult times, I have always received their support.

Some of my most personal Magic Moments with Bründl are connected to the creation of VAN DEER–Red Bull Sports. Christoph was one of the first people to hear about my idea of building my own skis. Thanks to his legendary enthusiasm, “a few pairs for friends and family” grew into a major project. Bründl became our first retailer, while Christoph became a mentor and long-time companion. I will also never forget the presentation of our first ski collection at the Weitblick – and the moment when a bold ambition actually turned into a World Cup victory.
