For the third time, Team Bründl again dedicated itself to “Running for those who can’t”. Fielding the biggest Bründl Sports team in history, 146 runners throughout Austria lined up at the start, squarely focused, along with 184,236 fellow participants worldwide, on staying ahead of the Catcher Car for as long as possible. Midsummer temperatures added a few extra beads of sweat to everyone’s foreheads, pushing the runners to their limits.
As a team, we managed to chalk up 1901.08 km in total, earning us a fantastic 42nd-place finish in the global rankings. More important than the placement and total kilometers, however, is the fact that the entry fee allowed us to collect € 3541 on behalf of the Wings for Life Foundation. As an extra thank-you to all entrants who battled their way through the hottest day of the year to-date, we will contribute an additional € 2000 in donations on top of that.
100% of the entry fees and, naturally, 100% of donations will go to the Wings for Life Foundation, in other words, directly into spinal cord research, and thereby help to find a cure for paraplegia.
A big thanks to all who participated!
