The prize includes an overnight stay in the Naturfreundehaus Sonnblick with half board as well as the ski tour with a state-certified mountain guide on the Hohe Sonnblick.
Depending on the weather and avalanche situation, you will spend two unforgettable days together in Kolm Saigurn in Rauris from April 01-02. The motto of the days is "Magic Moments" and "Safe on the mountain". Our mountain guide will teach you practical tips and tricks on how to move safely in open terrain, how to assess the avalanche situation on site based on the avalanche situation report and which ascent and descent route to choose.
ORTOVOX will provide you with the complete ORTOVOX safety equipment on loan for these days: Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and an AVABAG Ascent 40 lt. backpack, which you can test extensively on this day.
What do you need to bring with you?
You move in free, alpine terrain. A safe handling of your ski touring equipment and a condition of 6-8 hours or 1,600 hm in ascent and descent is a prerequisite. In addition, safe skiing in all types of snow and slopes with 30-35 degrees should not be a problem for you.
When?
The weekend will take place from 01-02 April. Depending on the weather and avalanche situation it will be decided if the tour to the Hohen Sonnblick is possible. Otherwise an alternative tour will be planned.
Where?
Meeting point is the parking lot Lenzanger. From there we will ascend to the Naturfreundehaus for the overnight stay on April 01, from where we will go to the Hohen Sonnblick the next day.
Required equipment:
- Touring skis with skin, touring ski boots + poles
- Helmet of advantage
- Ski and/or sunglasses
- crampons advantageous
- Winter clothing for ski mountaineering (pants, jacket, overjacket, change of clothes, hood, headband, gloves, warm functional underwear depending on the weather)
- Avalanche set (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel) - provided free of charge by ORTOVOX
- Hut sleeping bag for the overnight stay
- Change of underwear
- Sufficient food (muesli bar, banana, tea, juice, etc.)

Participation conditions for prize contest "ORTOVOX Magic Mountains"
The prize contest “ORTOVOX Magic Mountains” is organized by Sport Bründl Gesellschaft m.b.H., Nikolaus-Gassner-Straße 4, 5710 Kaprun.
The prize contest will be conducted from 13.01. - 20.01.2023. In order to be entered into the prize contest, participants must answer correctly the contest question posted on bruendl.at. One entry is permitted per person.
Participation in the prize contest is at no cost and is not dependent upon the purchase of products.
A weekend in Kolm Saigurn with Ortovox will be raffled off. 2 x 2 persons can climb the Hohe Sonnblick with touring skis together with a state-certified mountain guide. Included is an overnight stay in the Naturfreundehaus Sonnblickbasis incl. half board. Ortovox provides avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and an avabag free of charge on loan. The weekend will take place from 01 to 02.04.2023. In case of bad weather or bad conditions the tour planning will be adjusted.
Minimum requirement: 6-8 hours condition, about 1,600 hm in ascent and descent, safe skiing in all types of snow and 30-35 degree descent should be mastered.

The winners will be selected by the organizer at random from all the correct answers and completed entries that have been received.
The drawing for all winners will take place on 23.01.2022. Winners will be notified by email within 1 working day of the drawing. If the winner does not respond within 5 days of having received notification, the prize will be forfeited without substitution and a replacement winner will be drawn.
A photographer will accompany the excursion into the mountains with a camera. After the event, participants will receive a link where they will be able to access souvenir photos. These photographs will also be used for internal documentation and reporting purposes. The photos and the first names of winners, as well as information about the day’s events will be published on the website of the organizers and Ortovox, as well as on social media channels Instagram and Facebook in order to report about the event and facilitate actual redemption of the prize. With respect to the aforementioned purposes, the organizer has a legitimate interest consistent with Art 6 par. 1 lit f GDPR. Should data about the participant other than the photographs and first name be used, this will only occur subject to expressed separate consent obtained from the participant.
All persons ages 16 and older are entitled to participate. Excluded from participation are employees of Sport Bründl Gesellschaft m.b.H and their family members.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are nontransferable. All decisions are final. The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the prize contest, to rescind a prize without substitution or to demand the return thereof, if dishonest means have been used or attempted in order to influence the prize contest (e.g. inaccurate, incomplete, misleading information and/or multiple entries, insofar as this is not expressly permitted). No claims directed towards the organizer may arise therefrom.
Seat of jurisdiction is Salzburg, insofar as legally permissible. Austrian law shall apply.
Should individual provisions of the conditions of participation be declared null or void, this shall in no way affect the validity of the remaining provisions. Any such provision shall be substituted with a suitable alternative most closely compatible with the commercial goals of the voided provision.
The organizer reserves the right to amend the conditions of participation at any time, or to interrupt or terminate the prize contest or the drawing without prior notice due to urgent reasons (e.g. technical errors, abuse) either in part or completely.
