For the sixth time, ski jumping star Stefan Kraft was awarded the Golden Lion as Salzburg's best athlete. In the women's category, the Golden Lion once again went to downhill biker Valentina Höll. Alexander Diess, ski jumping/support center coach of Stefan Kraft and Daniel Huber, won the Coach of the Year category.
Biathlon legend Alfred Eder was honored for his lifetime achievement in sport. For the first time, an audience award was also presented to the athlete with the most votes in the online voting. The proud winner here was 15-year-old swimmer Katharina Schiessendoppler.
The Golden Lion for the best young athlete, the Rookie of the Year, has traditionally been awarded by Christoph Bründl for several years now. This year, cyclist Dominik Hödlmoser was honored as the best young athlete.

Budding professional cyclist Dominik Hödlmoser has already achieved considerable success at the Elite National Cyclocross Championships, winning bronze. Previously Dominik concentrated on off-road mountain biking, but now the road presents him with new challenges. He emphasizes the striking difference: "In mountain biking, I rode at full throttle just for myself right from the start. Road racing, however, requires strategy and teamwork. I still have a lot to learn here," explains the 18-year-old athlete from Plainfeld. In addition to the golden lion, Dominik was also delighted to receive a shopping voucher worth EUR 1,000.00 from Bründl Sports.

We would like to congratulate Dominik Hödlmoser on his award and his sporting achievements and wish him continued success for the future!
